Applied Marketing Science (AMS) is proud to announce that our cutting-edge AI-powered Voice of the Customer (VOC) tool has been shortlisted for the 2025 ESOMAR Regional Breakthrough Research Methodology Award.
This award celebrates innovative research methods that advance the accuracy and efficiency of data collection and analysis. Our supervised, finetuned large language model (LLM), developed in collaboration with researchers from MIT and Northwestern University, was recognized for its ability to surface both common and hard-to-find customer needs at scale, with higher accuracy and nuance than traditional AI tools such as ChatGPT. Trained like a market researcher and validated with thousands of customer verbatims in professional studies, our LLM is the only AI available that is specifically designed for VOC, revolutionizing how researchers can extract and analyze customer needs.
With more than 350 award entries submitted this year across all categories, being named a finalist underscores the impact and prestige of this recognition. Winners will be announced at the ESOMAR Congress taking place from September 28 to October 1 in Prague.
