AMS Wins Prestigious Disruptive Innovation Award

Applied Marketing Science (AMS) was recently presented with the prestigious Next Gen Market Research (NGMR) Disruptive Innovation Award for Most Innovative Research Method. This award recognizes AMS's success in leveraging AI and machine learning in the field of market research. It was presented on October 22, during the annual Corporate Researchers Conference at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando.

Kristyn Corrigan, Principal and Innovation Practice Lead at AMS, accepted the award from the NGMR group. NGMR, a professional networking group for market research practitioners dedicated to exploring and pursuing innovative market research techniques and technologies, has presented the annual Innovation Awards for over a decade. The awards are meant to recognize research professionals and companies that have demonstrated outstanding leadership as change agents and/or made significant contributions—technological, methodological or otherwise—toward pushing the field of research in promising new directions.

The Most Innovative Research Method Award recognizes the work that AMS has done to uncover new and impactful customer insights using the innovative AI technology ACE™Developed in collaboration with researchers at MIT, ACE ™, or Automated Content Evaluator, uses convolutional neural networks to identify customer insights in text data. This type of supervised machine learning dramatically reduces the time and effort required to gather a comprehensive list of customer insights. While many tools summarize key themes, keywords and sentiment in big data, this groundbreaking tool dives deeper. ACE™ identifies game-changing insights that traditional market research methods like focus groups and interviews might overlook.

“We are very proud of the ACE™ machine learning algorithm. It is yet another example of AMS bringing some of the best work from academia to the mainstream, and continuing to advance the field of market research,” said Kristyn Corrigan. If you’d like to learn more about how our advanced machine learning methodology can help your business uncover hidden insights, contact our AI experts for a free consultation.
