Applied Marketing Science (AMS) is proud to announce that President and Managing Principal John Mitchell has been honored as one of the recipients of the 2024 Insight250 Award. Presented by ESOMAR, the Insight250 Award recognizes a select group of global innovators and leaders in market research and insights.
Recipients of the award are celebrated for their professional experience, academic accomplishments, published research, thought leadership, industry involvement, insight innovations, and accolades. All are industry experts who have made a significant impact on the market research and insights field.
As a leader in the Insights for Innovation practice at AMS, John brings over 25 years of experience in marketing strategy, market research, and innovation. He helps clients tackle research challenges in product development and customer experience design, and specializes in life sciences and medical devices, software and technology, and business and consumer services.
John is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and actively works to improve representation in the field of customer insights. He has supported the IDEA Council of the Insights Association, and their ongoing work to make market research more inclusive for professionals and research participants. For the past eight years, he served as a professional mentor for Women in Research (WIRe), a professional organization dedicated to advancing the contributions and voice of women in research. Within AMS, he sponsors the firm’s DEI Council, which works to develop a more equitable workplace, an inclusive company culture, and a diverse talent pipeline.
