Applied Marketing Science (AMS) is delighted to share that we are partnering with the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) for a Voice of the Customer research engagement, to be conducted at this year’s PDMA Inspire Innovation Conference. The research will be focused on the needs of current and prospective members, helping PDMA innovate their future offerings and services. AMS follows rigorous, academically based methods and is fueled by the latest advancements in AI, enabling cutting-edge research and more precise customer insights for organizations like PDMA.
AMS, a pioneer of Voice of the Customer (VOC) methodology, boasts a longstanding affiliation with PDMA. Members of AMS have held leadership roles within the PDMA: Principal and Practice Lead Kristyn Corrigan has been a member of the PDMA Board of Directors since 2022, and Associate Principal Dr. Andrea Ruttenberg was the President of the PDMA’s Pittsburgh Chapter from 2023 to 2024.
AMS leaders have shared their expertise at various PDMA events, from virtual webinars to well-attended live sessions at their annual Inspire Innovation conference. Recently, Kristyn Corrigan wrote a chapter of the new Handbook for New Product Development, Associate Principal Meaghan Foley recently hosted an extremely popular webinar on product pricing mastery, and Dr. Ruttenberg led a game-changing workshop teaching best-in-industry customer interviewing techniques for VOC. AMS has also attended the PDMA Inspire Innovation conference for many years where our esteemed leadership team have frequently presented on topics like serial innovation, agile VOC, and beyond.
At this year’s Inspire Innovation conference, taking place on September 16th and 17th in St. Louis, MO, attendees can visit the AMS booth in the conference Exhibit Hall. Our team of expert consultants will be conducting onsite interviews with individuals spanning academics, practitioners, and service providers to understand how PDMA can best serve the industry as a whole.
These interviews constitute the first part of our research engagement, and will be followed by a quantitative survey; the ultimate goal of our research is to provide PDMA with a set of prioritized and actionable customer needs. If you’d like to make your voice heard by participating in an interview, we welcome you to stop by our booth during the conference.
Interested in applying VOC methods to your own organization, or want to schedule time at Inspire Innovation to chat with our team? Reach out to Kristyn via email, or put time on her calendar. Senior Manager Brian Sheil will also be in attendance; he can be reached via email for any questions.
